Problem Backgrounds

I was feeling stagnant of creativity last week, nothing motivated me.
I tried to promote a little Mojo flow by creating some backgrounds,
so, that when I felt creative ,I had something to work with .
Usually I will create up to 6 backgrounds at a time
(you know , while you have all your wet mediums out )
and I had one particular page that needed attention-
that's the blue page above-it already had spray colour-but it was green & purple,
and purple is not one of my favorite colours to use ,
so i used that rad Prima Finnabair stencil and attacked the page with textured paste
then hit it with acrylic sprays and wow what an inspiring background to start with .
I pulled out the embossing powder, well 2 actually first white ,
then pewter, and I love the way the pewter marbled over the white embossing powder..
I think it looks awesome
This layout below started as a bit of a hit and miss background..
I had sprayed the spinning tops rainbow with acrylic paint sprays,
but it was so unappealing- yes i couldn't believe it either,
so i then added the Damask stencil
and after drying, sprayed with dylusion mists to pump up the colour...
Hello ,I just Love the effect it created .
Perfect for this photo of Asti that I had edited with a rainbow tint in Pixlr.com/express .

Just  three layouts , but a really productive day ,
with a canvas also on the go and some preparation for this
weekends lighthouse art retreat with the amazing
Paula MacMillan Perich
For those of you of you in Sydney next month ,
I'm teaching 3 classes at the Sydney Paper Craft Festival in
 Penrith on 1st, 2nd and 3rd of November .
I am feeling a little humbled to be asked ,but I have to say,
I am super excited to be sharing my own style of scrapping with others .
Here's a link for class booking

WW1 October Challenge

Im Very Excited to be a CT member for WW1
and as its my first month as CT ,and I'm a few days late uploading .
(hangs head in shame)
I absolutely loved playing with the 2crafty chippy, and what a wonderful vibrant colour ,
hmmmm just the sort of inspiration I needed .
I hope you will all join in and take up the WW1 Watermelon challenge.
I'm going to have to do another watermelon layout this month, just for the fun and inspiration..
I haven't got the cliche melon shot and , my eldest child is addicted to the stuff.
if we are out and she needs a juice ,
we have to hunt down the nearest juice place so she can have watermelon juice.
There is always a pile of it in the fridge . I have to get the shot with her eating a big slab of it.
I do wonder if anyone else will create that sort of l/o.?

Don't forget to swing over to WW1 and check out the CT's work and all current layouts already submitted.
